Information on the closing vieswing tower Bialowieza National Park Directorate regret to inform that due to technical reasons and for the safety of tourists tower within the Hwo¼na Protective Unit on the trail "Carska Tropina" in the neighborhood of "Kosy Most" was closed to tourist traffic. Technical study conducted on behalf of BNP has shown that the condition of the tower as a result of the processes of biological corrosion of wood is bad and continue its operation is dangerous for tourists staying on it. Currently, BNP efforts are foccus on raising funds for the renovation of the tower that is one of the most attractive places in the precincts of the Protective Hwo¼na Unit as soon as possible to restore the tourist traffic. We invite you to a vantage point on the trail "Carska Tropina", where stretches equally beautiful view of the Strictly Protected Area of BNP. Director of BNP Bialowieza, 20 July 2010 One can experience different forms of tourism in Bia³owie¿a National Park. There are three tourist trails within Hwo¼na Protective Unit (in the northern part of the park), where visitors can walk, ride a bike, ride a horse, and in winter go skiing. Visiting the oldest part of BNP – Or³ówka Protective Unit (a part being under the strict protection) is possible only when assisted by the guide. While walking through the trails, visitors can admire elements of the forest having a natural origin with thousands of plant, animal and fungi species. Visitors can walk the tourist trails from dusk till dawn.
In the Park there are several tourist attractions : Modern Nature-Forest Museum and European bison Show Reserve, where visitors can see European bison, beefalo (a hybrid of domestic cow and European bison), Polish Horses of a tarpan type, and few other park mammal species. The Park offers accommodation in the guest rooms in the Hunting Lodge located in the area of the historic Palace Park.
